Our Story

About Our School

To see the history of our School's Principals and School Daily Prayer, please use the side navigation.

Regina Mundi Catholic Elementary School was built in 1959 and was opened by Sister Mary Matthews.

Our school is fortunate to share its property with Regina Mundi Church while embracing the faithful community that supports our students like the Catholic Women's League and the Knights of Columbus.

Our school promotes the gift of Catholic Education with our highly skilled staff every day.  We are thankful for an active Catholic School Council who organize and support events that encourage the success of all students.  Our school is also currently the home of the HWCDSB Virtual School supporting our online learners.  Each classroom is retrofitted with technology to support innovation in our pedagogy for the 21st century learners.

The educational culture at Regina Mundi Catholic School is firmly rooted in the tradition of Catholic Gospel values where each child belongs and their uniqueness is recognized and addressed in order for students to achieve spiritual and educational growth.  Our school participates in Physical Literacy activities promoting healthy action initiatives and athletic programs.

We gather in prayer, promoting the Catholic Graduate Expectations and celebrate the diversity of our community in all that we do.

Regina Mundi has been graced with many alumni that continue to serve our community and we are thankful for our past, present and future Royals!

We ask for the intercession of Saint Mary, Regina Mundi, Queen of the World to watch over our community every day.
